In the framework of the Project TEMPUS 543990-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-DE-TEMPUS-JPCR "Training on alternative dispute resolution as an approach for ensuring of human rights" (TRADIR) there were held training sessions for librarians at the University of Potsdam (Germany) from 15 to 20 November 2015.

Librarians got to know the arrangement and equipment of funds of information and communication media center of the Potsdam University (IKMZ), with the processes of gathering of library collections, print and electronic media. The participants of the training also got acquainted with the basic principles of service of students, library equipment in a German higher education institution, as well as the process of serving readers majoring in philology and law, the peculiarities of logistics of the foundation and lending of rare editions. The staff of the host institution shared the strategies for Open Access implementation in Potsdam University Library on a fee-paying basis.

The participants visited the building of the university library (Neues Palais), located in the building of the Palace Park Sanssouci (Potsdam). By the way, here are represented "Belarusian language phrasebook" (by doctor of philological sciences, professor of YKSUG Ivan Ja. Lepeshau (1924-2014)), as well as encyclopedias, dictionaries and reference books in Belarusian.

The university library has at its disposal access to 193 information banks in the field of law, including the Beck-Online and the Juris, to 1,850 electronic journals and 330,000 electronic books.

The participants also visited the Library at the Campus Griebnitzsee and Berlin State Library.

Implementation of such educational activities for librarians is an effective form of international professional communication and exchange of experience.

This week the Belarusian State University under accreditation control due to new master's program 1-24 81 05 "Legal Support of Alternative Conflict and Dispute Resolution" by the Quality Control Department of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus. Verification of compliance with normative legal acts is carried out by Associate Professor Paval Grydiushka, PhD. Within the verification on March 22, 2016 he attended practical classes of  Associate professor Tamara Piatachenka ("Labour disputes and their resolution").

Since 2016 the Faculty of Law, Hrodna State University will offer a new master's program in the specialty 1-24 81 05 "Legal Support of Alternative Conflict and Dispute Resolution".

The purpose of the Final International Conference within TEMPUS-Project “Training on alternative dispute resolution as an approach for ensuring of human rights” (TRADIR) is to bring together researchers, teachers and practitioners interested in the advanced methods of legal education as well as master and doctoral students. The Final Conference will also provide information about the results of the TRADIR-Project.

Papers describing original work are invited in any of the areas listed below. Accepted papers, are to be presented at the conference by one of the authors, will be published in the Conference Proceedings. Acceptance will be based on quality, relevance and originality. There will be only oral sessions. 

CONFERENCE AREAS

Each of these topic areas can be expanded but the sub-topics list is not exhaustive. Papers may address one or more of the listed topics, although authors should not feel limited by them. Unlisted but related sub-topics are also acceptable, provided they fit in one of the following main topic areas:

1. METHODOLOGICAL COVERAGE OF LEGAL EDUCATION;

2. TRAINING ON ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION IN CIVIL DISCIPLINES;

3. TRAINING ON ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION IN PUBLIC LAW DISCIPLINES;

4. RESTORATIVE JUSTICE IN TRAINING ON CRIMINAL LAW DISCIPLINES;

5. AN INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO TEACHING ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION.

PAPER SUBMISSION

Authors should submit a paper in English, Ukrainian, Belarusian or Russian carefully checked for correct grammar and spelling, addressing one or several of the conference areas or topics. Only original papers should be submitted. Authors are advised to obey ethical norms regarding plagiarism and self-plagiarism thoroughly before submitting and must make sure that their submissions do not substantially overlap work which has been published elsewhere or simultaneously submitted to a journal or another conference with proceedings. Papers that contain any form of plagiarism will be rejected without reviews.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) until 17th September 2016 the text of the paper and abstract as well as the application for participation in the Conference with the theme of the E-mail “TRADIR Conference”.

Abstract should be prepared in English and in the language of the paper. It should contain the main idea of ​​the paper (in each language no more than 1000 characters).

Application for participation in the Conference shall contain the name and surname of the author (co-authors), name of present employer, position, academic degree, academic title, postal address, phone number, email address, title of the paper, information about necessity of the hotel reservation, arrival date, the date of departure. Travel and accommodation of participants shall be covered by the sending organisation.

A new admission campaign for Masters in the specialty 1-24 81 05 "Legal Support of Alternative Conflict and Dispute Resolution" at the Belarusian State University and Yanka Kupala Hrodno State University starts on June 27, 2016.

By the way, this is the only master's specialization at law faculties in Belarus to which graduates of non-legal professions can enter. To do this you must pass the extra exam in addition to the main one.
